Both parties to the conflict are presented separately, followed by a factual neutral assessment.

Ukrainian account

Ukraine's military said it evacuated 167 people from threatened parts of the Kherson region on the final day, including 22 children and 21 people with limited mobility. Ukrainian authorities again warned of the high risk from Russian strikes near the Dnipro.

Russian account

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov spoke positively about the mission and coordination between the ombuds offices. Russian representatives said both sides had observed the limited ceasefire, allowing supplies and evacuations.

Neutral editorial assessment

AP and Reuters report that the six-day pause expired as planned with no violations reported. It enabled a rare joint humanitarian operation, but no extension or application to other front sectors was agreed while fighting continued elsewhere.
